Independence Day

It's a week from Independence Day. I should move on, look forward to the future, and put down the past, since I could do nothing to change it.

Everything is changing, and I never wanna go back to the way it was. I'm finding who I am, through everything I go through everyday. Everyday is a brand new day, and a brand new start. I keep reminding myself not to let the unhappiness in my past carry my way forward. Every day is a new opportunity to learn. Although my innocence is wearing thin, my heart is growing strong. In your eyes, what I am tomorrow may not be the way I'm used to be.

To look forward to the future, of course I hope to study university in overseas, because it allows me to break down and start from scratch, and shake it off like an etch-a-sketch, which is a chance that I've longed for. And I've always dreamt of sitting on a grass pitch to read on a sunny Saturday afternoon. By myself. Free from interactions, and distractions. Being alone enables me to reflect what I could've done better, and to think about what I want, what I have and what can I give up. You'll get nothing if you want everything and aren't willing to give up anything.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. Unhappy and undesirable things may become lessons, so what's best is to learn the lesson then forget the unhappiness. No matter what, the show must go on. Life must go on. As I grow, important things become lesser and lesser, but those remaining important become more and more important. There's not that really many things that I cannot give up. But for those I don't wanna give up, I will treasure em more and more.

P.S. Inspiration from Fifth Harmony's song "Miss Movin On" released as both a music video and in the EP "Better Together".
